Protect 2000 and 500 Notes from colors this holi

RBI the Reserve Bank of India, has given very clear instructions to all the bank in India, not to accept any 2000 or 500 denomination note with colors. This means all Indians or any one carrying new currency notes need to take extra precautions this holy. Earlier currency notes were not given that kind of treatment , but this year, no new notes with holi colors on them will be accepted by any Indian bank.

On 8th of November 2016, last year, prime minister Narinder Modi, has taken bold step of introducing new currency notes of 500 and 2000. Demonetization was buzz word for two three months. Many debates, comments, even full fledged social media war took place. People came in favor and against this step of the government.

Long ques were seen outside the bank ATM’s and people faced huge problem in buying and selling their products. There were complaints about the material and security features used for new currency notes . Now there is new fresh instructions from RBI, which says don’t spoil your new currency notes with holi colors or keep them to yourself only.

RBI has started new campaign of “Clean note policy ” , so if you get your notes damaged by holi color , don’t go to any bank branch , go directly to RBI and try to change your new currency notes there. In the recent news in Economic Times, this is confirmed that people having currency notes , should empty their pockets before going to play holi with their friend and family.

There are many awareness campaings going on facebook , whatsapp and many other social media are going on, to educate people about the Clean note policy of RBI. Same instructions are applicable if something is written by pen on any of the new currency notes, so be aware of these instruction and enjoy holi safely.
