Canadian Defense minister visited Golden temple

After Punjab’s chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh refused to meet visiting Canadian Defense mininister, Sardar Sajjan singh , he continued his tour by visiting Golden temple. Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandak Committee SGPC, not only welcomed MR. Sajjan but also honored him for maintaining Sikhi attire even working on top most post in a country like Canada.

Sajjan singh visited Golden Temple along with , Akal takht Sahib. He also listened to gurbani at Harminder Sahib for some time. SGPC’s special Task force provided him necessary security and moved along him in Parikarma too.

Captain Amarinder singh refused to welcome and meet Sajjan singh , after alleging , his relation and support to khalistani supporters living in Canada. But there are reports that actual reason is something else. Actually captain along with some other party leaders from different parties in Punjab were banned by Canadian authorities to organize any political rally in Canada.

On the other hand their was mild scuffle between the member of SGPC Task force and leader and workers of Akali Dal Maan. Maan supporters were demanding time to meet Sajjan Singh to hand over their memorandum. Maan Supporters alleged that they were not allowed to honor or even meet Mr. Sajjan singh on the pretext of security issues, but actually there were instructions from the rival groups.

Mr. Sajjan singh’s visited India as a representative of Canada, as Canada is looking for stronger ties with India, specially in the case of defense sector. But his visit become controversy when Capatain Amarinder refused to welcome him as a chief minister of Punjab. Amarinder’s decision was supported by his party mates, as finance minister Manpreet Badal, told the media the other day that they are standing behind the decision of their leader.

On the other hand AAP’s senior leader, Gurpreet Waraich , criticized captain’s stand on Sajjan Singh. He said , Sajjan should be welcomed to Punjab and his party will come forward to support him.
