Black flags were shown as a mark of protest, to chief minister of Punjab , Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, in Sangrur rally today. Badal was addressing a political rally in Sangrur, when all of sudden , some people took out black flags and started raising slogans against the ruling party. They were protesting against sacrilege issue of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
Protesters alleged that though there were about 90 such cases that took place in the state but unfortunately no one was arrested in a single incident. Police struggled to control the protesters and were brought under control after some time and were then send out of the pandal.
Protesters warned that they will continuing such protests at other places too, until they arrest all the responsible for the recent incidents. But the Akali workers started abusing the protesters outside pandal and later started thrashing them badly. There was no police or security staff to save the protesters from being beaten by the Akali supporters and workers. Passerby’s somehow saved the protesters from the Akali’s.
