Chandigarh Mohali water logged with few hours of rain

Chandigarh the city beautiful and capital of Punjab, along with Mohali were submerged by few hours rain, making everything from electricity to traffic stand still. Problem didn’t stopped here, water after seizing big and small cars and other vehicles on road, entered houses at where place in the city.

Horrific scenes can be seen where cars were seen floating like boats and helpless people were standing watching all this. There are many report of accidents from the city as well. Many cars broke down in the middle of roads and were left by the owners at the place, this resulted in worsening of the situation as, they lead to traffic jams.

Sewerage system of the best planned city of India, failed badly. It seems like there is not sewerage system present at all, as roads were replaced by small rivulets and people were seen helplessly moving here and there in order to find some way out to reach their office or place of work.

Announcements and promises made by Chandigarh administration about their preparation for the monsoon seasons seems to fake, as ground realty clearly shows that the administration was not prepared at all. Most of the people in and around the cities reached their offices very late, because huge traffic jams and water logged streets.

People were shocked to see streets full of water and most of the people were seen commenting that they have never seen such a massive water logging in their life , specially in the city like Chandigarh.

Water logged Mohali witnessed almost same scenes as in Chandigarh. People left their cars unattended as engine seized with water.
