Into the big league
Remo D’Souza’s protege Punit Pathak became a household name post his successful stint in Dance India Dance which was a reality show. He proceeded to playing a popular role Chandu in ABCD, and will now be visualized dancing with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in ABCD 2. He shares his experiences of his journey so far.
Reporter asked, “how was it working with Prabhu Deva in a movie for the second time?”
It was the same as the first time — wonderful! This time my respect for him as an actor has increased because he is playing a challenging role — that of an alcoholic. He is an ideal for everyone. It is always relaxing to have him and Remo sir on the sets because they are the most senior people and very relaxed.
“The first film did not have any lead actors. Now Varun and Shraddha are the lead faces of the film. How was the experience in ABCD 2?”, they asked.
Initially, when they said that these two will be a part of the movie, I guess they would ignore. The best part was that on the first day when they stepped in workout, we sat together and ate in the same plate! They had tea in the same glass served to us! They are both very comfortable to work with.
