Mahesh bhat threatened to pay money

Famous Hindi movie director Mahesh Bhatt has registered in a case in Mumbai police station against a unknown person who Mahesh alleged has threatened him to pay extortion money.

Disclosing the incident Mahesh Bhatt said, he has received a threatening message on his phone by some person from Uttar Pardesh to pay ransom money of fifty lacs, else he will kill his daughter Alia and wife Soni Rajdhan. This incident took place on the night of 26th of Feb, last month.

Crime branch of Mumbai police has registered a formal complaint under the IPC section 387. The security of Alia Bhatt has been beefed up after this incident , as police don’t want to take any chances.

Mahesh Bhatt told the media person , that at first instance he thought somebody is just kidding with him, but later he received messages from the same person, not to take him lightly. It is then, the approached the police and even updated his social media page, about the incident.

Mahesh Bhatt was told to deposit the ransom money in one of the bank branch in Lucknow. Alia is busy in the promotion of her upcoming film, ‘Bhadarinath ki Dulhania’, which is due to release on 10th of March this month only. Mahesh informed that Alia Bhatt’s life is in danger.

Latest update on the whole incident is that, Mumbai police has detained one suspicious person who may be involved in this case. Police is interrogating this person, and hopefully case will be resolved soon.

Some people are of the view that this might be just another marketing stunt by Alia, to promote here upcoming film. But we hope she should be fine, may work hard to bring some good films , just like her father Mahesh Bhatt has done before.
