Day light robbery at Ropar, looted 15 lakh

Day night robbery at Ropar, looted 15 lakh rupees, from the cash moving van, which was on duty to add cash to Punjab National Bank ATM in ropar.

According to the eye witness, Cash van employees were attacked all of sudden and they were taken by surprise by the miscreants, who fired around seven to eight rounds of fires to prevent any one to stop them from looting the cash van.

One of the security personal was injured after being hit by the bullet fired by the robbers. There was around 10 lacs in the cash van and rest of the money was looted from ATM itself. Injured security employee told that around three to four miscreants came empty handed and there was were not covered , but the attacked all of sudden and started beating all the security personnel.

Security people tried there best to fight back but robbers started firing indiscriminately, in which one of the employee was injured and rushed to hospital where he is out of danger but undergoing treatment.

Satnam singh one of the security personal told that , robbers jumped on him together and he even fired two rounds to save money and himself. B.S. gill one of the eye witness informed the police on hearing gunshots.

Varinderpal singh SSP Ropar told the reporters that police is looking into the CcTV footage to get clues about the robbers. About the money looted he confirmed that 10 lakh rupees which cash van brought was taken away but they are looking into the ATM register to know the amount taken away from ATM.
