After a crucial meeting called by the Aam Aadmi party (AAP) disagreeing leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, the party today ordered members against attending the “Swaraj Samvad” meet tomorrow in Gurgaon saying those participating in the event will face the music as decided by the party’s decision-making panels.
Singh told reporters, “Swaraj Samvad is not a party affair. The PAC and NE will decide on what movement needs to be taken after the meeting.”
The crucial volunteers’ association called by the “rebel” duo who were axed from the party’s powerful bodies for objecting to AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal’s style of working, is aimed at deciding their future course of action in the watch of the recent fallouts between Kejriwal and a section of senior leaders opposing his writ.
Going by the organisers of the Swaraj Samwad, more than 100 candidates who had contested on AAP tickets in the Lok Sabha polls will attend the event and such has been the response over the last few days that the rebel camp had to shift the venue.
The AAP has also convicted Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut for his remarks in an article in Samna suggesting withdrawing the voting rights of the Muslim community while demanding criminal action against him and the Shiv Sena.
