Find truth behind Behbal Kalan Shooting Case : United Akali Dal

Truth behind the Behbal Kalan shooting may be revealed very soon, after the cCTV footage was made public by United Akali Dal representatives. On 14th of October 2015, last to last year, people were protesting peacefully against the sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.Police personal in large number were present there and situation was very much under control as the protesters were chanting hymns peacefully without any violence.

All of sudden police started dispersing people sitting on dharna with water canon’s and later followed by lathi charge and to make the situation worse even fired many rounds in air and on protesters as well , killing two people there.

In CCTV footage it can be clearly seen that people were protesting peacefully, police not only killed two of the protesters but also injured many of them. A senior police office can be seen in civil dress, talking to someone on phone. It seems like he was taking orders from some senior officer or some political leader at that time.

United Akali Dal has demanded complete and fire enquiry of the incident specially about the person in civil clothes , about the officer or the leader who has given instructions to lathi charge and fire on protesters without any provocation from them.

Sardar Gurdheep Singh representing United Akali Dal, demanded that it hardly takes five minutes to know from the call details of the senior police office seen in the CCTV footage , with whom he was talking on phone at that time. He alleged that Mantar Singh Brar, who was Akali leader and secretary at the time of incident, pressurised both police and administrative officers to give them in written to use force against the protesters. He alleged that both police officer and DC refused to do so, and even offered their resignations to the Akali leader.

Sardar Gurdeep Singh also alleged that police personals can be seen collecting empty gun shots from the site, as they didn’t want any proof or evidence of the incident to be left over. Baba Surinder singh also demanded justice for the peacefully protesting people. Many protests followed after this incident but no one punished or nothing happened , only two families lost their loved one’s without any reason.

Then deputy chief minister even ordered to take back cases registered against the protesters.
