Illegal liquor business gang kingpin held in Sangrur

Sangrur police has busted the gang running racket of illegal liquor trade in Punjab and surrounding states. Sangrur SSP Inderbir Singh told the media persons that they have recovered around 909 liters of country made liquor from the possession of gang members.

Along with liquor , large number of bottles of high end liquor brands were also recovered from them. Gang have loaded full truck of high end liquor’s empty bottles, which they were planning to fill with cheap liquor.

There are many security checks which administration uses , to keep high end liquor bottles safe as per their set standards which included hologram put up by excise and taxation department. To the surprise of everyone, many such hologram stickers were recovered from the arrested person.

Telling more about the mods of operands, of the gang members , SSP Inderbir Singh told that , these gang members use to buy empty bottles of high end liquor brands and then fill them with cheap local liquor like Binny. He told that the gang members were having all the necessary equipment and material that is required to sell the fake liquor at high price, making lot of profit.

Further disclosing about the kingpin of the gang, Pritpal singh, SSP told that Pritpal was using his won house for running this illegal trade of counterfeit liquor. Police have recovered all the bottles of local liquor, empty bottles of high end liquor , corks and caps of bottles , machinery used and on the top hologram stickers, being used by Excise and taxation department otherwise.

Punjab is one the states of India, which consumes liquor in huge quantity. People spend huge amount of money to enjoy their favorite brand of liquor, but people like Pritpal are not only cheating them , but are also putting their lives in danger. Apart from this they are adding up losses to the government to too.
