Shergill will replace Shergill in Mohali : new AAP candidate

Aam Aadmi Party Punjab has finally declared its long awaited candidate for Punjab’s top city Mohali. Earlier AAP’s legal cell head Himmat singh Shergill was fielded in Mohali to take on two times winner and strong Congress leader Sardar Balbir Singh Sidhu.

Later Himmat Singh was shifted to Majithia to challenge Bikaram Singh Majithia, who is Youth leader and brother in-law of deputy chief minister Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal.

AAP is having unique strategy to fielding strong candidates against opposition parties senior leaders which not only boost moral of party workers but also keep opposition busy saving senior leaders and loosing at other places. AAP used same strategy in Delhi by fielding Arvind Kejriwal against , then CM of Delhi Sheela dixit.

AAP has now announced the name of Sardar Narinder singh Shergill for Mohali Seat. He has replaced Himmat Singh Shergill. AAP was able to register lead from Mohali in Member Parliament elections for Lok Sabha over all the rivals, but lost in rural area.

Himmat Singh shergill was able to score reasonably well in MP elections from Mohali and was first choice of the party. One more candidate from Lehra gaga , named Jasvir Singh Kudani has been declared by the party.

Mohali is very new , and high tech city of Punjab, which is voting Congress candidate Balbir Sidhu for last 10 years. Balbir Singh Sidhu has won twice from Mohali. Its not the case that people of Mohali are voting Congress in power, but there are many reasons which turns the tables in favor of Congress candidate.

One of the major reason being good nature of Mr. Sidhu, who is very social , barely carry security with him and mingle with locals very easily. Second Major reason for his continuous victory is major opposition party SAD never fielded local candidate against Sidhu and always bring some parachute candidate from other places, which often results in disaster for SAD.

SAD is again bringing in parachute candidate to Mohali this time , who is said to be son in law of Member Parliament Dhindsa. Again same mistake, reason behind the parachute candiedates is quoted as infighting in the local SAD groups which party high command feels dangerous for this seat.

There are allegations that both SAD and Congress are playing hand in glove, by helping Sidhu to win and taking rival candidates that party wants to loose who are fielded here.

Now this strategy seems to be working because earlier it was Bunny son of late captain sahib and then its was Ramoowalia , both lost to Sidhu and their career ended in party at least.
