There is latest news of theft in OBC bank branch situated in Saidpur village of Sonipat , Haryana. Thieves broke into bank , through the back wall in night, then using gas cutter they removed exhaust fan of the strong room . To get cash of safe they cut the top portion and took away the cash in it.
Most of the currency in the strong room was of old currency notes , except 50000 worth new currency notes. Bank staff found the wall broken and when they entered strong room they found the cash missing. Police was immediately informed which reached the spot the after first hand information, formed special teams to track down the thieves. Police also found some cctv footages of the thieves which will be helpful in tracking the culprits said the senior police officer.
Santosh sharma the bank manager told that when the staff reached the bank at around 9:30 ,they found cash missing and the broken wall from where some light was beaming in. Senior police officer Rakesh kumar told the media person that SIT has been set up, along with three teams are formed to be headed by Rahul dev DSP.
