Kejriwal planning to stay in Punjab, Looking for house near Ludhiana :
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is planning to stay in Punjab, at least 15 days every month, till the elections of Punjab vidhan sabha 2017. This was disclosed by S. Jarnail Singh, who has been sent by Arvind Kejriwal to Punjab, to take care of overall elections of the state. Jarnail singh further disclosed that Arvind is specifically looking for some place to stay for few days, some where near Ludhiana, or some other central suitable place, to command over the whole campaign.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha elections are due next year, and this is the first time we’ll have triangular competition with the entry of third party AAP. Earlier it use to be congress VS Shiromani Akali Dal, and they usually win elections alternatively, except last time when SAD won elections successively for two tenures.
Another interesting angle this time is, the main issue projected by ruling government is development. Ruling Akali government is running its campaign only one agenda, that is development that brought about in the last 9 plus years.
All their promotion channels are focusing roads, building specially related to rich history of Punjab, and other infrastructural developments like 24 hours surplus electricity.
Numerous other development schemes like Bhai Ghaniya insurance scheme, Ata-dal scheme, special cards for poor people. Interestingly earlier it use to be religion and 1984 riots and punjab terrorism issues, which usually come out of somewhere just before elections and then just perish away.
Reacting to the news of Arvind Kejriwal’s plan to stay and take care of election campaign in Punjab, opposition parties , especially congress reacted in the standard way as expected.
Senior congress leader S. Partap singh Bajwa, alleged that Kejriwal is betraying people of Delhi ,by leaving them and staying in Punjab.
He said people of Delhi have given historical mandate to AAP government but they are running away from them, He also disclosed that deputy CM of Delhi, Mr. Sisodia is also planning to leave for Goa to take care of elections over there.
Meanwhile overall political temperature of the state of Punjab is rising with every passing day and will definitely shoot up with Arvind arriving here.
