No Beating the Retreat, ceremony at Border Today

Indian press reporters and common people who were moving towards Wagha and Hussainiwala Border to participate in “Beating the Retreat”, ceremony were not allowed to move towards border. Police have reportedly raised barricades to stop Indian and even people from other countries, tourists, who generally come to see the ceremony were told that there will not be any ceremony today.

Earlier the situation became tense when Indian army in first of its kind operation , crossed border at POK to destroy terrorist camps there, though it was surgical operation very well executed , but now situation is turning to be tense.

Beating the Retreat , ceremony is performed every day at both Wagha and Hussaininwala borders where in people from both the sides enjoy every evening. Army men well trained specially for this ceremony, participate with full energy as it is believed to be competition of energy.
Flages are raised and then rolled back every day during morning and evening respectively.
