Cong women cell protests against Kejriwal in Amritsar

On the last day of his Punjab’s visit, Delhi chief minister and AAP’s national convener faced strong protest by Congress Women workers at a rally in Amritsar. Congress Women workers alleged that Kejriwal has betrayed people of Punjab by standing with Haryana on SYL issue.

AAP has been criticized by opposition parties for not clearing their stand against Punjab and in favor of Haryana.

Another reason for protest was, certain allegation against senior AAP leaders for sexually harassing and exploiting AAP women workers and supporter. Women Congress raised slogans against Aam Aadmin party and specially Arvind Kejriwal.

They alleged that party which do not respect women and took stand against Punjab on SYL should not be allowed to enter Punjab.

On the other hand AAP kept on going with their rally without bothering much about the oppositions protest and slogans being raised against them. Some of the AAP workers were seen taking away placards from the women workers and destroying them.

Protesting women leaders alleged that AAP workers threw chairs on them and some of them have received minor injuries too. Women leaders also warned Kejriwal of similar protests at all the places where ever he will organize rally or any political function in Punjab.

On the other hand Kejriwal launched severe attacks on SAD-BJP government, criticizing their policies and misrule in the state. Accusing PM modi of cheating people of India, he commented that note demonetization is biggest fraud of all times in India.

He alleged that people are dying because of note ban and modi government is offering services to rich people by allowing 50% tax on black money. He alleged that Bad effects of demonetization can be seen now , how people specially common man is not able to eat these days because cash crunch.

Though government has taken some steps to solve problems arising because of demonetization. but people are still facing problems. Still long ques can be seen outside ATM machines and Banks.
